Beoldred Information

Physical Characteristics:
The Beoldred, hailing from northern regions of High Altitude are a tall and bulky race of men. The cold regions led them to growing out their hair and beards. The Beoldred are accustomed to cold climates and are typically best suited in those areas. Some Beoldred warriors wear war paint as tribute to their Lords, Homes or their God.

Each Beoldred stronghold is lead by a Jarl leading an elite group of Noble warrior rulers, Earls, who have fought their way to the status which they now hold. The lord of all Jarls is the First Jarl, who, by extension also leads the small but formidable heartland of New Aurora. Jarls are fiercely independent, ruling over their holds how they see fit, typically being far from the First Jarl. Each Hold conducts their own raids, builds their own farms and walls as they see fit, so long as a Jarl brings glory and prosperity to his people, he is fit to lead and the second he stops doing so, then he shall surely be replaced. The Jarls further divide their power to their Earls who work among themselves as a council in each Hold, the same concepts of rule by merit applying to them. All Jarls and Earls are honor-bound to answer any command from the First Jarl.

Beoldred Explorers

Beoldred are an ambitious people, and possess and use their strength to get what they want. Originally, they were forced to seek out new lands, fight for a new home and new path. Today, Beoldred strongholds are scattered across both Meridiem and Borealis. Many of the Beoldred are adventures, explorers, mercenaries and so forth scattered across all of the land. The Beoldred while only loosely united, are widespread across the land and their people as a whole have seen much of everything. It is in Beoldred nature to learn all that is worth knowing and to use it to their advantage.

Religion:
The Beoldred follow the Gods and Deities of this world of their own individual right. However, most Beoldred follow only one God, Aldron and through their time in Isolation in the Auroran islands they refer to him as the All Father or by the ancient term, Gleann. Even after becoming "Astricised" in their religion, most Beoldred find it most logical to worship the Chief God, for to have the favor of the greatest God will bring the greatest fortune.
