HOSSAM, GOD OF WORK, HUNTING, AND THE HARVEST
(Hossam and his dog Yvenn)
Hossam, God of Work, Hunting, and the Harvest, sometimes known simply as the Beast Lord, is a versatile god. Hossam, in his mortal life, was an Alemer elf who was granted godhood 500 years after Jhuvik. Hossam was a farmer of a weakly fortified Alemar city, he worked hard for his harvest however an impeding invasion by the elf kingdom of Olomoon threaten everything he and his family had. The Alemer military could not respond, being thinly stretched at the time and facing two fronts against the Nuviens.
Hossam took it upon himself to protect his city of Azlae. Azlae lacked men and equipment, therefor Hossam gathered what was in abundance of the area, beasts. Hossam captured and gathered spiders, Picked Polans, Calidons, predators and scorpions. Allied with only his dog Yvenn, Hossam gathered an army of over 800 beasts in a course of a year. These creatures were held in an old temple that Hossam was able to easily lock himself and keep secure. When 15,000 Elves marched towards Alzae, the city got to its defensive but they were severally outnumbered , only boasting 2,000 men. The Elves got closer and closer as the morale of the city defenders began to waiver.
Suddenly, Hossam opened the temple gates, one at a time to allow each hungry creature a chance to eat. The horde of monsters terrified the Elves , who retreated nearly instantly if they were not caught and eaten where they'd laid. With the Elves’ morale shattered, Alzae was safe, only due to Hossams seemingly super-elf efforts. For this, Hossam would be granted a place among the Gods. Hossam would continue to farm for 120 years before giving up his life to join the gods.
